OnWire Releases FedRAMP, Multi-Factor Authentication with PIV for OnCloud® Identity and Access Management

OnWire announces a new release for OnCloud®, a FedRAMP-Ready Identity and Access Management Platform. This release adds certificate-based and multi-factor authentication capabilities which allows OnCloud customers to integrate their PIV cards to access internal and external systems and applications.

Due to the recent OPM security breach, Federal agencies are now required to comply with new mandates to strengthen their level of authentication to systems with sensitive government data. OnCloud has built-in capability to support this increasingly common use case. The OnCloud Directory Service is designed to store identities that house an authoritative source of user attributes – OnCloud can fetch and broker the necessary attributes to build a comprehensive, enhanced user credential to access applications that support standard single-sign on and federation protocols such as SAML. This capability is designed to meet NIST standards for an LOA-3 and LOA-4 application.

OnCloud’s Multi-Factor Login Services include capability to integrate PIV/CAC login, challenge-response questions for RBA, and token-based 2FA. These services can be provided either in our FedRAMP, FISMA-Moderate cloud facility or on-premise in a customer’s infrastructure of choice. By utilizing OnCloud’s Multi-Factor Login Services, customers can seamlessly enhance the authentication for legacy systems using PIV and other compliant multi-factor options.
