OnWire announces that its OnCloud® Identity and Access Management Platform is compliant with the additional security controls and requirements from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 Revision 4. Agencies are expected to be compliant with the NIST Security Framework, which provides a catalog of security controls for U.S. Federal information systems to mitigate risk.
In April, NIST published an update, Revision 4, to NIST 800-53 – the Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations. Revision 4 reflects and addresses issues with evolving technologies, such as mobile and cloud computing, insider threats, applications security, and supply chain risks. The number of security controls was increased to strengthen the continuous monitoring capabilities of agencies and to help ensure new cyber security threats are avoided in the future.
