OnWire Consulting Group, LLC (OnWire) recently announced that they would begin specializing in identity and access management (IAM) cloud solutions with government security accreditation. OnWire will offer FISMA compliant cloud solutions for the U.S. government. Using NIST 800-53 rev3 as the baseline, the security controls will meet FISMA-MODERATE standards and will help achieve consistent security authorizations.
OnWire authorization to operate (ATO) from FedRAMP (the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) will give Government agencies an approved security standard for identity and access management as a cloud solution. OnWire is exclusively offering cloud services where data resides – in the Continental United States of America (CONUS).
In addition to their ATO, OnWire will be working closely with the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (JAB) on accreditation, which once approved will offer an identity and access management solution security baseline that’s reusable across all government agencies. If necessary, agencies can add additional controls to the baseline to meet their particular security profile.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. FedRAMP was developed in collaboration with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the General Services Administration (GSA), the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
